SOLITAIRE TEA SET FOR THE JAPANESE MARKET
Beautiful porcelain tea set formed with a tea pot, a sugar bowl and a cup with its saucer, of triangular shape in the Rococo spirit, ornate with gilt Japanese-style ornaments (birds, pagoda and foliages) on a double-blue background whose a nice petrol blue, gilt rims.
One antique damage restored at the cup.

The mark is used between 1840 and 1861.

The period of manufacturing correspond to the period of the treaty of Shimoda, which was the first diplomatic agreement between Russia and Japan, signed by the vice-admiral E. V. Putyatin and Toshiakira Kawaji, on January 26th 1855
