Composed of a covered teapot of baluster shape, the handle imitating the bust of a swan, a milk jug with handle ending in a swan, a covered sugar bowl resting on three claw feet, two jasmine cups and their saucers.

Adorned with a rich decoration in white biscuit on a matte blue ground in the imitation of Wedgwood, depicting swans framing palmettes, laurel friezes and garlands of flowers knotted with ribbons and arrows. The enameled interior decorated in gold with a rich frieze of stylized flowers in cartridges.

Mark with red stamp: " Manufacture de S. M. L'impératrice P. L. Dagoty à Paris".

H. 18 (teapot) - 16.5 (sugar bowl) - 18 (milk jug) - 10 (cup) cm.

Related works

A part of a tea service in white biscuit, probably delivered to the Grand Duchess of Tuscany, Elisa Baciocchi, is kept in Palazzo Pitti, Museum of Porcelain (inv. ACE 1911,1027-1032), reproduced on the cover of : "Lusso ed Eleganza. La porcellana francese a Palazzo Pitti e la manifattura Ginori (1800-1830), Florence, 2013, pp.126-129).

The preparatory drawing is kept at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris (inv. CD3857.13).
