Lovely soliflore vase with volutes with a cream ground, decorated with stylized pink hearts of Maria, the neck decorated with ivy leaves in transparency, gold threads on the edges.

Very good condition, a slight restoration at the neck.

Sèvres National Factory, 1911.

Marks with the green manufacturing stamp dated 1897 and decor red stamp dated 1911.

Gold mark of the painter Louis-Jules Trager (1888-1934).

History

Louis-Jules Trager, decorator at the national manufacture of Sèvres, was best known for having designed plates and dishes evoking the memory of the Great War which were very successful. Specializing in organic patterns, Louis-Jules Trager has produced many stylized decorations of flowers and plants representative of the Art Nouveau movement.
